Gates open at 17:30 – the event will finish by 23:00.

To enter the event at Heaton Park, please follow signage for the ‘North Gate’ which is located next to the boating lake within the park.
There will be no cloakroom available at the event.

PLANNING YOUR JOURNEY TO HEATON PARK

BY METROLINK


It’s easy to get to Heaton Park from anywhere on the Metrolink network, with frequent services on all lines. Heaton Park is less than 15 minutes from Manchester city centre, the park is next to the Heaton Park Metrolink stop. BY LOCAL BUS SERVICE

Heaton Park is served by these existing bus routes from around Greater 

Manchester 135, 59, 64, 484, 495, 164, 165. More information on buses can

BY TRAIN

Long distance and local train services run to Manchester Piccadilly and Manchester Victoria stations in the city centre, where passengers can connect to other public transport services to Heaton Park. BY CAR

The only official event car park is located at the Heaton Park Lakeside car park, off Sheepfoot Lane, M25 0BW. Monitored by event stewards, this official car park is £10 per car paid on arrival. Note it is a cash only car park, card payments are not accepted. There is absolutely no on street parking around the event site, a residents permit scheme is in place and there will be a number of roads closed in place around Heaton Park. Traffic wardens will be patrolling the area around Heaton Park and your car will be towed and impounded by the wardens. If you are driving to the event, please use the official event car park.

 
BY TAXI

Taxis are also a very popular way of leaving the park; There will be taxi ranks in Blackley New Road and outside the Woodthorpe pub on Bury Old Road as well as an official private hire pick up point near the car park on Sheepfoot Lane. 

Customers booking their own private hire vehicles need to to direct them to the pick up point at Heaton Park Sainsbury’s.
DROP-OFF AND PICK UP POINT

Sainsbury’s Heaton Park, located on Heaton Park Road, M9 0QS is the official drop-off and pick-up point for the event. You should only use the areas clearly signed within the car park so as not to interfere with the normal store operations. No cars should be left unattended in the car park during the event as they are at risk of being fined or clamped.

DRUGS

The event has a zero tolerance for drugs and legal highs. Should you be found with either a controlled substance or herbal or legal high at the point of entry you will be denied entry and handed over to the Police. Should you be found within the festival site with either a controlled substance or herbal or legal high you will be ejected and handed over to the Police.

MOBILE PHONES

Please protect your phones and belongings while at the event. Please be advised that phone thieves are known to be targeting large-scale music events.

Keep your phones in a safe place such as a front pocket. Avoid back pockets or ladies handbags that are easy to enter.

Protect your mobile phone, enable your phone's PIN lock and write down all details including IMEI number and any tracker details (such as activating find my iPhone).

Arrange a location to meet your friends so if you do lose your phone and need to meet each other you have a meeting point.

LOST PROPERTY

Any items found should be handed in to one of the bars at the event. Enquiries for lost property please contact [email protected], items found will be available for collection from Monday 8th June until Sunday 14th June.
BARS

There will be a number of bars at the event selling alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The Bars operates the ‘Challenge 21’ policy. If you look under 21 please do not be offended if we ask you for proof of age when you buy alcohol. Please bring proof of ID to show you are over 18.

We accept the following forms of Identification:

• Current Driver’s License or Provisional License

Plus the following cards (part of the PASS Scheme):

• VALIDATE UK
• CitizenCard

Please enjoy alcohol responsibly.

Do not buy alcohol for persons under the age of 18, if you do you risk being ejected from the event.


 
ACCESS

WELFARE INFORMATION

The event has a First Aid Point and Welfare facilities. There will also be Medics and First Aiders on patrol around the event. If at any time you feel at all unwell during the festival, please find a member of staff or security who will be able to assist.

The Loop, and the welfare team offer advice about alcohol, drugs, sexual health, mental health, crime and violence, as well as young person safeguarding and sexual health resources.
MERCHANDISE

Official merchandise will be available within the festival. We would advise that merchandise is only purchased from these official outlets and the festival is not liable for any items purchased through unofficial channels. Unlicensed street trading is prohibited in the streets surrounding the festival and local authority enforcement officers will be present.
SAFETY AND SECURITY

All our security and stewards at the event are here to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable time at Parklife. We ask you respond to security announcements and follow directions from security and stewards

CCTV is in operation outside, inside as well as at all Parklife entrance gates.
LEAVING THE EVENT

The event organisers are committed to being a good neighbour to the local residents of Prestwich and the wider city of Manchester. Please respect their homes and property by LEAVING PROMPTLY, carefully disposing of your rubbish, using the toilets provided inside the festival and being mindful of minimising noise and disruption as you leave.

Make sure you plan your journey home before the day of the festival. If you need directions to Metrolink stations, The Big Green Coach point, car parks, taxis or walking directions to the city centre on the day please ask one of our stewards.
